Jeffrey Krahling of Wallingford was sentenced in New Haven Superior Court to a term of between seven and 15 years in prison, which will be suspended after seven years. He pleaded guilty earlier this year to two counts of sexual assault, burglary, intimidating a witness, tampering with a witness and possession of child porn.
Krahling pleaded guilty under the Alford Doctrine, which states that he does not agree with all of the evidence presented against him, but acknowledges that there is enough evidence for a conviction.
The sexual assault complaints were made to police following two incidents in April and September 2016 at his Meriden practice. Krahling put his legs around the patients’ heads and made sexual motions.
The other charges came in December that year, when Krahling was accused of breaking into one of his patient’s homes. Further investigation found that Krahling also had nearly 40 images and 15 videos of child pornography on a laptop.
According to a New Haven register report, his two victims were in court for his sentencing and provided victim statements outlining how the sexual assaults impacted them.
